Shrines, Gardens and Castles

The last several days in Kyoto we visited numerous outstanding shrines, gardens and castles.  The following pictures are from Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion), Ginkakuji (Silver Pavilion), Ryoanji with its famous Zen rock garden, Todaji with the Great Daibutsu and Hikone castle.  The bamboo grove is in Arashiyama outside of Kyoto and the torii are at the Shinto temple Fushimi Inari Taisha.  We also enjoyed sampling foods in Nishiki market and downtown Kyoto.  Our next few days will be in Hiroshima and Okayama.
